They claim that: “The sensors aren’t monitoring people or their productivity; they are assessing office space usage,” the bank said in an emailed statement. “This sort of analysis helps us to reduce costs, for example, managing energy consumption, or identifying opportunities to further adopt flexible work environments.”
Sounds like a load of bullshit to me... they double as a "productivity" sensor. Face time is officially being quantified.
Yeah, I agree with you OP. They can't come out and just say that they're monitoring productivity, that would be PR nightmare
