Remember, be careful inquiring about the job too early. Act as if you're truly seeking his advice rather than begging for a job. You'd be surprised about how willing people are to share their success, and even try to help out people that look up to them (even IB douche bags). Hey, Yes - the VP replied eventually and suggested a time to hop on a call with him. We then had a conversation over the phone which went very well. He also offered to help with application in the future. Although I did not find any job posting of my interest, I think this was a good experience.
