BB vs EB Career Progression

Hi everyone,

Would love to learn more about your views on the internal promotion within BB and EB. I am currently working at an EB (PJT/EVR/MOE) and planning to go A2A (probably gonna stay for long). However, I heard that it is almost impossible to climb internally from analyst to MD within an EB. Is that true? If so, why is that?

Just want to receive some advice and be prepared for what comes next. Thanks!
