Best Groups at Piper Sander

I’ve been doing some research on Piper Sandler and it looks like they’re growing very quickly. I was wondering if anyone could give any insight into which verticals and sub-verticals are the best for deal flow, comp, laterals, and PE exit opps. Are Piper analysts generally pretty competitive when it comes to MF and UMM PE recruiting?

Second this. Piper Sandler is highly competitive in the FIG and Healthcare sectors on the league tables.

No one said they don’t place well, but MM analysts don’t get looks from MF and usually UMM as well. The reason being is that there’s only so many slots and those firms have their pick at all the BB and EB analysts. Piper and other strong MM banks do a fine job of placing in MM/LMM private equity (depending on the group as well). If that’s not what you’re interested in then you can always try to lateral to stronger bank.
