Best groups in BMO NY

Didn't get any responses, so I will try posting it again...

I am planning to join BMO NY as a summer associate. It is a generalist offer. However, would anyone comment on the best groups in terms of learning, career growth and deal flow?

Thank you very much!

Got a summer offer for mid office role working closely with BMO (Chicago) capital markets trading desk. Will work in the same office as IBD. Any tips on setting up shadows/networking with bankers throughout the internship? Goal is to get return offer for IBD internship next summer.

Probably because it was a stupid question. The best group is whichever ones you're most interested in.

"NuclearPenguins" Ehh I disagree and think this question is worth asking. Let's say OP is really interested in both TMT and HC, but if one is much better regarded than the other at BMO, isn't that worth knowing about?

I see what you're getting at, but I think there are better ways to get this type of info than asking an anonymous forum. OP mentioned it's a generalist program. The beauty of this is that you have the opportunity to work with multiple teams. If your interest is split between TMT and HC, I think you're much better off working with both teams and then making a decision from there, rather than coming in with a bunch of preconceived notions. If the question is are there certain groups you should avoid, I'm sure OP can find an alumnus or two that went through the program and get a better answer to the question.

I think healthcare is pretty strong. Don't know anything else, but that is just what I've heard. I see them on some fairly high profile biotech IPO's every now and then.

Dayman?
