Best RX shops based on culture-exit-return rate

Hello guys

Could you give me any insights on how the different shops that do RX are based on culture, exit ops (I would like to go PE), and return offer rate (is there a shop that hires more people than full time spots)?

Thanks a lot

No idea where the "CuLtUrE" meme started, but it pretty much just acts a corporate euphemism for working hours, which is erratic. I guess part of culture would also be how nice or how the people in the group act, but can you really generalize something like that for a whole group? What if you have 5 nice people and everyone else is a dick lol. I guess it really just means working hours.

But also opportunities for mentorship, diversity or inclusiveness, A2A or other promotion opportunities, are people in the group friends, access to senior bankers (lol), expectations for face time. There are just so many interpretations of "culture" that I just don't know how to answer the question because people won't articulate what they're actually asking.

For what its worth, youre probably right that theyre just asking about hours and how "nice" people are, but honestly who knows

People being more or less dickish is a massive factor. I moved from a group with a VP and MD who were horrific to work for (where you’d be working for one or the other probably 30%-40% of the time) to a group considered a sweatshop BUT where people aren’t evil psychos and couldn’t be happier. Culture is massively important, it’s just hard to judge until you’re in the thick of it.

Can't give any comment on culture - it's way too dependent on individual teams (as it usually is across banking).

As far as exit ops, the better the bank, the better the exits generally speaking. More active firms (Evercore, PJT, HL, etc.) tend to have what WSO calls "better" exits, but all RX shops can provide a good platform if your goal is PE

Edit: word usage
