Big 6 M&A Banking Hours

Hi all,

I’m currently an MM M&A associate 1 in Canada, and I’ve recently been offered an opportunity to transfer to an IB M&A team at one of the Big 6 banks.

Right now, I’m working around 60-70 hours a week, but I ask how cooked would I be from a lifestyle / hours perspective if I were to switch. Any thoughts on typical total hours and flexibility (1 day wfh etc) typically seen at the M&A groups of the banks would be helpful.

No one calls it Big 6, except people who work or have an offer at National.

Wasn’t my point, national does ok and would put some groups at the same level as Scotia
