Most of them just put in transfer requests after 18 months because they've been so brutally tortured that they just seek reprieve in any other group. Most times, they find themselves on more stable footing once transferred and realize that they can do better by recrutiting into other banking/ PE roles.

Info sessions mean nothing, speak to someone who was previously in the group and you’ll get the truth

This group is torture - can confirm that most people are regularly there past 2 and working most (if not all) weekends.

Not worth speaking to as you have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting to associate/junior VP without killing yourself or getting fired

If you work in a resources team in Canada, you should know the unwritten rule. Women (DEI Beckies) work ~30% less staffings for same or better comp; take max possible vacations and MDs favor them in both hiring and promotions.

A lot of this favouritism is driven by Gender DEI KPIs which feed into MD comps and politics at the bank but these are not the only reasons as quite a few of them have been found in inappropriate situationships / work wives of D/MDs IYKYK.

Not surprised; typical slavic behavior sleeping with MD or D, and they don’t even care if he is married and has teenage kids. She is mid for slavic girls though.
