~20 total IB interns this summer in NYC, and a handful of Lev Fin + MBA Associates. Strong in Clean Energy and Green Infrastructure teams, do a lot of project finance in the US, but even still much more dominant in Europe M&A. Liquidity had 2nd-year Analysts at ~$185,000 and 1st-year Associates at ~$235,000 all in.

In the US -Go there only if you have to. Culture is very average and pay is disappointing. They talk big but are small players in the US. Majority of the junior team are looking to move.

If it’s an opportunity in Europe, would recommend to not leave it.

Second year analyst 105 base, group dependent bonus but expect 70-90. Good work life balance with certain groups excelling: Project Finance, Structured Products, certain coverage groups. Management is aligned on a gradual uptick in the US with a focus on green/ energy transition teams globally. Not an M&A shop; would go here for solid debt and SPG team where the bank is well reputed and has gotten support from Paris to grow. Seniors can get paid a lot better depending on group once again. French culture is not as dominant and definitely seen retention, generally improving business. Would say its a very stable spot amongst the European and seen minimal layoffs. Sold bank of west so alot of kitty in the bank to deploy.

Appreciate it, would you be able to share which year these numbers were from?
