BNPP M&A vs BlackRock Alternative Advisors internship?
Hi everyone,
I have two offers that are both good but very different. Can you please share your opinion on which one is better in terms of exit opportunity, skillset, how transferable that skillset is.
Is this from soph or junior summer? A lot depends on your full time goals since they’re quite different. Also do you know the alts product?
i think you should follow your heart ;)
Black Rock Alternative Advisors is a Fund-of-Funds meaning they raise money from investors and then invest it in hedge funds, PE funds, private credit etc. You will not be doing any fundamental financial analysis, company analysis, accounting or real financial modeling. You track performance vs benchmarks etc. You are not learning fundamental financial skill set that you can leverage in your future career. Take M&A no question, even if its French Bank. You will still got same training, learn the lingo and get exposure to IB. Also, if this is your junior year and you want a full time offer, there are much more exit opportunities from IB than a FoF.
Take BlackRock so I can get off the BNP waitlist.
