Bocconi Admission entry 2025/2026

Hello everyone, I'm applying as a Lebanese to Bocconi University for the Bachelor in Economics and Management for the year 2025. I heard admissions were quite tough so i wanted to hear your opinion on whether my profile would be competitive enough for admission for this regular/winter session. I achieved an overall average of 16/20 (french system) which translates to an 8.4/10 using the Bocconi GPA calculator. I also achieved an SAT of 1410. On their site, they say admission is only based on GPA (45%0 ad SAT (55%), they don't do CVS or motivation letters. Felt kinda demotivated seeing applicants from easier systems applying with higher/ inflated GPAs. Anyways, what do you think my chances of admission are? thank you

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Bocconi University is known for its competitive admissions process, especially for programs like Economics and Management. Your profile, with an 8.4/10 GPA (French system) and a 1410 SAT score, seems solid, particularly since the admissions criteria are heavily weighted towards these two components (45% GPA and 55% SAT).

However, as you mentioned, applicants from systems with potentially inflated GPAs might have an advantage in the GPA component. That said, your SAT score is strong and could help balance out any perceived disadvantage in GPA. Bocconi values a well-rounded academic profile, and your SAT score places you in a competitive position.

While it's difficult to predict exact chances, your profile appears competitive for the regular/winter session. To strengthen your application further, ensure that your SAT score is submitted promptly and accurately, as it carries significant weight in the evaluation process. Best of luck!

I know you from reddit, the reason i’m asking is because a girl i know from my school got in last year to BIEM with a 9 gpa and a 1360 SAT. Maybe being Lebanese in a french system plays a role? I also know that winter session won’t have a ranking, so we can’t really use the number only approach like early’s. What do you think? Would love to take your opinion on this.

I think being Lebanese could help a bit for diversity reasons, but your chances are still slim. For context, your stats are equivalent to 8.75 and 1360, and this year was a bit more competitive. Good luck, I hope you'll get in :)

Bro I got into Bocconi with a 1760/2400 SAT lol. Didn’t attend but it used to be so easy back then (7 Years ago)

Why has it gotten so tough? I heard that the acceptance rate is about 20 percent?
