Boutique Banks - How does pay compare?
How does pay from a boutique bank compare to the BB firms? How much easier is it to land a first year analyst position at a boutique bank, especially coming from a non-target school? Also, do top tier MBA programs frown upon botique bank experience?

Is there a considerable difference in salaries, bonuses, and hours of analysts between boutiques and BB?
Has anyone ever heard of Adams Harkness or the work they do? Someone mentioned them today and I'd never heard the name...
1) Some boutiques pay slightly better because they have to.
2) I think it is just as hard to end up at a top tier boutique.
3) MBA programs don't love bankers, no matter what the background.
