Boutique Firm Transcript

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering at what point, if any, most boutique firms ask for a transcript in the interview process. In my other non-finance internships, transcripts were required prior to any emails/interview appointments or they weren't required at all. I'd like to be ahead of the game here and am trying to anticipate when I should order a copy, if any, for the internship.

Thanks

Boutiques probably won't ask for an official copy until final round/offers, if at all. Many people have said that at some MM/Boutiques that they've never been asked for a transcript. Also, an unofficial one usually suffices, as most people are scummy enough to forge a transcript.

Thanks! It wasn't mentioned in the application process so I figured it may not even be asked since it's such a small group with no HR to send it to.

I've never given anyone an official transcript despite going through a number of boutique interview processes. Did it once for a BB SA position

Did they ask for an unofficial copy after they gave you an offer?

Nope, but that was for several internships. Just wrapped up some final rounds for full time, haven't heard outcome yet, but transcript hasn't been asked for yet
