Boutique PE internship-worth it?

Hello friends, I am a rising junior who recently concluded my IB internship at a boutique (worked on 1 live deal for 7 weeks), and have the opportunity to work at a boutique PE firm the next two months. (PE internship is paid, small, 40/hrs a week, and I would start mid-July). If I'm looking to recruit for next year's IB SA positions only (not PE) is this internship worth it?

Some questions/concerns include: -Is my IB experience sufficient? (my only finance work experience) -Does a PE experience add value to my resume, and/or will listing 2 short summer internships detract from my IB experience? -If I'm interested in recruiting for IB only, does it make sense to have a PE experience following my IB internship? -Should I focus more on recruitment/networking/interview prepping for IB internships rather than working another job? -If I'm applying to some firms early, would I even have enough PE experience at that point to write it on my resume and talk about it? For regular processes?

I don't know if you're trolling or not...

I don't mean to sound rude but what is the upside to not accepting the offer? I mean unless you have other important things to do I can't imagine this to be a negative in anyway. At the very minimum you're getting paid and making connections so there really is no loss here.

I couldn't imagine this ever hurting your resume regardless of how short the stint really is. Any finance experience is a plus on a resume and banks realize that it's not possible for every student to get an IB position before going for BB..

OP, PE experience is highly relevant to IB so I think it could only add value to your IB candidacy.

Nevertheless, I did IB last summer but decided to do S&T this summer for the sole reason of wanting to explore a role in the markets and try something new. My end goal is still an analyst stint in IB at a BB. Would it be a harder transition back into IB from an S&T internship?

Thanks.
