Breaking EB from no name midwestern bank
I’m currently wrapping up my first year as an analyst and I am looking to lateral in the next 6 months. It seems like a long time but I want to start networking early. My goals have been pretty capped at Midwestern MM due to my location (Chicago) and due to the size of my current firm (LMM). I want to see what experience any of my fellow LMM laterals have had. What EB are the friendliest to a non-target LMM guy like myself? I want to focus my efforts realistically but also want to know how far i can set my sights.
EB is pretty unlikely, breaking into a national MM -> BB/EB is a more reliable path.
