Buyside Interview same time as meeting

I have an hour video interview with a hedge fund on Friday but slammed beyond belief. How do I get an hour to take the interview? WFH made it difficult cause I can’t respond to emails for an hour and on 5 live deals

1) that is stupid beyond belief (banning pto)

2) you are asking for advice from people without any context on your firm. You either piss people off (and claim you have a doctors appt or something similar) or you don’t do it. You are asking for someone to magically find an hour but also saying it is impossible based on how your firm is currently operating. There isn’t a magical solution, it’s a tradeoff. Pick the path you think will cause the least amount of crap.

Send an email: Hi all, I am experiencing a medical emergency and must go attend a doctor's appointment, I will be back within 2 hours. Then you take the call, and after the call dial in. They can't fire you for this because you can sue the company (additionally, they're slammed and have no incentive to let you go for fear of missing out on deals).

You don't have to tell them what was wrong, just say you had to see a doctor and that you might have to have some follow up appointments, which will allow you to make more appointments and attend more interviews.

they can't fire you for missing an hour of work as others have mentioned

just email them from your phone and say i'm on the stool with explosive diarrhea - will be out of pocket for the next 1-2 hours or so

So what you're saying is that your firm is slammed beyond belief (i.e. they desperately need bodies and won't fire you), and you want to leave your job? Also you're an analyst, so everyone expects you to bail as soon as you are able?

Just take the interview dude. Tell them you have a doctor's appointment. Tell them you're jerking it to improve your mental health, who cares. You aren't getting fired.
