Calgary IB

I am a woman of color at a top BB (GS/MS) in New York and considering moving back to Calgary to live with my fiancé

I have heard mixed things about IB culture in Calgary and need your input as I don’t want to be at a shop that discriminates

Which IB team is least supportive of PoC?

CIBC
10% (9 votes)
BMO
11% (10 votes)
TD
20% (18 votes)
Scotia
12% (11 votes)
National
13% (12 votes)
RBC
33% (30 votes)

Girl look up their teams on LinkedIn. Only a handful of seniors are PoC. National is best.

Idk man I'm a male poc myself and just fit in fine, probably helps that I'm not a fob and grew up abroad with WASPs so it's just regular interactions for me. I think knowing all the subleties of jokes, knowing when something is implied, etc helps so having actual fluency of the language and having cultural contexts would help.

RBC appears to be first place with TD right behind and Scotia and National close in the race

RBC’s position in this survey is not factual. We do not discriminate based on race.

For context, RBC Calgary currently has two leaders from minority backgrounds at the VP level or above. By comparison, both BMO and National have two while CIBC, Scotia and TD have none.
