Capital One - Capital Markets
Hi,
I had an interview recently for Capital One's Loan Syndications Team. I was wondering if anyone had anymore insight on this...pay,hours,culture, etc. I know the recently took over GE so was hoping someone could provide some information.
GE's team had a bunch of good guys, standard work hard/play hard with lighter than wall st hours. Overpaid seniors and underpaid juniors relative to the market. Not sure how they integrated into CapOne.
Lighter than Wall Street hours...what do you mean by that? How much under pay?
Capital One has great flexibility and work life culture.
So for Capital Markets do you think the hours are 8-6 or more like 8-10? What about the pay?
I would guess 7-5 or 6 (market driven hours). Juniors seemed to be 10-15% under market for a good mm with generous bens. Again, this could have changed when shifting to capone
I am a summer analyst at Cap One. Loan Syndication is a great group of guys.. not sure about the new GE ppl though. I know the director of the syndications group expects you to stay till atleast 8
Hope this helps.
EDIT: Just realized you weren't asking as a summer intern.. lol ignore
Thanks. Was the 8 just the summer interns or were all the analysts there until 8 as well?
Hi Guys,
So I was offered the job but I am not sure I should take it. Can someone fill me in on the culture / hours / pay.
Bump?
Does anyone know anything about this?
I don't know too much about it, but I'm wondering why a syndications group would work long hours. What do they do all day?
