Career Path
I will have the opportunity to join a family business and takeover the operation after a couple years post graduation. In this role I would make $1-2M. Is it valid to think IB or high stress finance is just not worth the grind? Technically, I guess I would learn more and maybe reach a higher level of professionalism. At the same time, I could get good experience in a corp finance role, work 40 hours a week, and enjoy life.
If i had your opportunity I def wouldn't do the grind. $1-2m is MD numbers and not everyone makes it that far. So the easier the path is the better imo. Does depend on how much you enjoy it though, would you enjoy or be neutral at least working the family business?
