Career Switch to ECM
Want to keep this short and simple. I am at a VC fund right now but a shitty ops profile, have an opportunity to transition to front end ECM role what will be the pros and cons
Good WLB - a lot of learning in terms of Public markets but no buyside exits apart from IR roles.

This is not a good time to be ECM banker as it was in 2021 - but sooner or later it will come back big time.

Yes and no. Solid lifestyle job vs coverage, but after VC? Will be in for a rude awakening. Things move 100mph. Very fast paced. And it starts early, 7am. Still have long days as well.
