Cash vs stock dividend for TSR
hi,
I just wanted to get your views in terms of a company issuing a cash dividend vs stock dividend in terms of total shareholder return.
what is correct to look at for TSR, the cash or stock dividend if a company has issued both? I would say for normal purposes, more accurate to look at cash dividend for purposes of calculating TSR as the stock one is more variable but are there any other considerations for and against?
