Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't specific information available about CD&R's Off-Cycle process for September 2026. However, in general, online tests (OTs) for such processes can either be sent out in batches or all at once, depending on the firm's recruitment strategy. After the online test, the next steps typically involve either a direct round with decision-makers (like Deal Partners or senior team members) or an intermediate step, such as a case study or technical interview, before progressing further.

If you're targeting CD&R, it's best to prepare for both behavioral and technical rounds, as private equity firms often emphasize both aspects. Additionally, staying proactive and networking with current employees or alumni can provide more clarity on their specific recruitment process.

Tests come out in dribs and drabs and video interview w DP after the tests - process is at VI stage

It’s called test partnerships, not quite the standard ones I’ve seen before

If by R1 you mean the DP VI, candidates got emailed yday that DP had forwarded their profile over to CD&R and that CD&R will be in touch in due course to schedule interviews if selected

Nope, DP sending updates every week saying sorry but the team haven't had a chance to review

Did you do the first round with CD&R already?

The modelling test is easy I’ve been told in previous years

Are R1s (Post DP) sent out in batches or all at once? I could not find any information from previous years.

when's yours? a friend did it last year and said it was the most difficult process she's been through

Any insight into process stages?
Is it standard resume, test, DP, modeling, investment team interviews?

What do you mean by invited? Did that person get invited for interview for September or January?

September is already full if we follow the timelines from last year. The process now is probably for the January start...

Invited Jan DP Interview apparently modelling tests will be within next weeks. But its only one guy who heard back and dont know anyone else so idk if theyre full now for Jan

Do you know of anyone? Have they previously done any 2026 positions at CDR? Apparently they dont reinvite if you did 2026 process

I guess that if I haven’t been invited after tests I can reasonably assume rejection?

At this point I have no idea how to improve my chances, got top internships, top school, know people with similar background who were invited to interviews. Yet im still being rejected after tests, even though I feel that I performed quite well. Super frustrating

Did you get the associate interview for the January 2027 intake? I did it for September 2026 already but think I got dinged
