Centerview Partners and Networking (Unsolicited Emails)
I'm a student at a non-target interested in networking with professionals at CVP and was wondering how strict their no unsolicited emails "policy" is (Per their website: "Additionally, we kindly ask that you please not send unsolicited emails to multiple people at the firm."). Obviously looking to get to know more about the firm but also not keen on getting on the bad side of the employees at the firm. How seriously are cold emails taken from your experience? Thanks!
Dont do it unless u want to get blacklisted
Not sure if you're actually being serious but I'll bite: how else would we network with bankers and learn more about the firm?
It's true though. Business people in general hate when people do this unsolicited. Only time it's acceptable is if they reach out to you via their work email or give it to you during a call. Not worth the risk. LinkedIn is a good option to try to reach out to their employees. Or a call through someone who may connect you two.
Edit: People don't like that I networked for interviews I guess....lol
So is it safe to assume that networking won't get you dinged? Also any general advice on bankers of what background might be more receptive to networking?

Didn't get into CVP myself, but it's definitely necessary to network.
networked with one analyst, was told not to network anymore and reach back out in a few weeks for first rounds
I mean you've got the interview, why bother someone else
