Chicago SA Anyone?

Hi all,

I recently accepted an SA position in Chicago. I was wondering if any of you had also done so, and are looking for living arrangements for the summer? I thought we could live together to keep costs down. Contact me if interested.

Also, do any of you have suggestions for where to live? I have heard that the SAIC is a good place, and it is close to my bank. Any other favorites?

thanks

I live in Chicago as a student and would suggest SAIC as a last resort. Rent here is extremely cheap compared to New York, especially if you have more than two people. Depending on your interests I would suggest a few different areas. Gold coast/old town/river north if you can afford a little extra rent and want to have a quick commute to work. It's also great for your typical bars/clubs that younger people will be hanging around. Lincoln park is great for college students. Rent is a little less than the previously mentioned areas and you could find a summer sublet from a DePaul student. Lakeview and more particularly wrigleyville will be cheaper still, but a longer commute to work (~25 min train ride) with thousands of fratty sports bars to go to. Bucktown is also a cool area for the quasi hipster, but somewhat inaccessible to the rest of the north side of Chicago. Hope this helps, any other questions let me know.
