Choosing a STEM Degree
How much would having a STEM degree help vs a business/liberal arts degree? (Same everything else( Also, if asked, how would you respond to "Why IB instead of a STEM career?"

Man (or woman), there should be plenty of threads on this. Story should be framed the same way the poli sci or arts major would if they were gunning for IB.
"I enjoy my major (definitely dont come off like you hate it. even if you actually do) but realized that I'm better fit for a fast paced, dynamic environment. Working in a lab (or manufacturing floor) everyday isn't appealing to me after interning in that type of environment. After talking with alumni or people in industry, I know that IB is the best possible place for me to learn the business and ramp up in terms of my skills and industry knowledge"
