UBS generalist. Citi FIG recruits separately for a reason, it's not easy to go from that pool to the standard IB pool. The top UBS groups like M&A and LevFin/FSG(not 100% what it is like post the split of the two groups, but usually the combined group had good exits) have equal exits to the average Citi coverage groups, but the best groups at Citi beat the top UBS groups in exit by quite a bit.

Much easier if you are in a similar pool(switching from CR coverage to M&A at Citi), your problem is that the Citi FIG team recruits separately from the other Citi groups so you aren't considered part of the same pool. I would strongly consider taking the UBS offer. I also saw the other post and if you click on and check the post history the 2 people commenting on you to take Citi FIG, have spent their entire on WSO shitting on UBS because of not getting a good bonus... not exactly a very fair source. I am leaving the firm after 2 years so care less about my bonus, although am scared of layoffs. Realistically if 50-60% of the old CS people are getting laid off this year, I seriously doubt they'd lay off even more in 2025-6 given the senior UBS MD hires and their publically stated desire to grow their IB franchise.
