Citi has one of the top FIG practices on the Street. Like many of their groups, it has surged up the ranks in the past five years. Is usually neck and neck with Goldman in terms of deal flow in recent years. Check out a recent league table.
I agree with the Chemicals group being up there. I'm certainly no expert on the Chemicals industry, but it seems every time there is a big Chems deal in the WSJ, Citi somehow seems to be in on it. Is that a more recent trend or has this group always been dominant?
