Based on the most helpful WSO content, Citi in London is generally considered a strong Tier 2 bank, often ranked alongside BAML, Lazard, and Rothschild. While it may not have the prestige of Tier 1 BBs like Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley, Citi's large balance sheet allows it to secure significant M&A deal flow, particularly in sectors like TMT, FIG, Industrials, and Healthcare.

In terms of exits, Citi provides solid opportunities, comparable to other Tier 2 banks, but it may not match the elite exit options offered by top EBs (e.g., Evercore, PJT) or Tier 1 BBs. However, strong candidates from Citi can still achieve excellent exits, especially if they are in one of the bank's stronger teams.

I mean they still exist, so decent right? Ok, jokes aside - what are you really looking for?  They've historically exited well and still win large-cap mandates. Their LevFin team have been struggling.  They have a really strong capital markets team.  Citi can win mandates through their corporate banking relationships which is global and yes they literally staff them on a deal with IBD, which is crazy.
