this is awful advice unless you are permanently injured to the extent that you cannot perform your job (ex. long-term disability or impairment) 

You will absolutely get canned somehow or someway in this finance environment....for being a desk worker that went to OSHA

 

That is super illegal to fire someone for going to OHSA, FYI. Very easy lawsuit if they fire someone for that.

OP, might be worth a consult with an employment attorney. You need to be a bit strategic here and make sure you are not pushing the wrong buttons. The forum cannot help you here, these are questions for a lawsuit

really hard to prove he was fired for going to OSHA.

P.S. learn to spell OSHA. you need to realize that lawsuits are expensive and suing your employer could come up in a future background check. 

If he is disabled - there's a real case. If he twisted an ankle and is a Gen Z crybaby...not worth it losing a FO job
