[EDITED] Hi all, I have a relative who did an internship at a BB about 7 years ago. He gave some contacts of people who still work there. He offered to send an "intro email" to some of them for me, but I feel like being direct with these contacts is better. Was wondering what some of you think in regards to this situation?

A cousin who interned there in 2011 is a very weak connection tbh. Is he still close to these people? Also, if you're trying to get an SA position there for this summer that window has long since passed
