Commercial Bank joins IB at JPM
Commercial Bank joins the Global and Corporate Investment Bank at JPMorgan. New name of division will be Commercial & Investment Bank.
Layoffs incoming?
Appears both divisions will largely operate the same and not much will change.
Thoughts?
Not sure why you would think this implies layoffs? It’s just a reorganization of leadership reporting and housing of the divisions
They don’t need to at all (especially considering JPMs last year), but they could considering the amount of hiring they did.
Commercial banking especially MMBSI has been growing like crazy and has been on a hiring spree
