Completely Unprepared For Interview, Help...
Hi Everyone!
I have an interview for a bank in a couple of weeks, and I am completely, utterly, totally unprepared. I'm an underclassman who applied for an internship for the heck of it, not thinking I would get it. It is a pretty big bank and I'm kind of scared. Does anyone have tips? How technical do you think it will be? I do not know a lot about financial valuation, very limited amount of knowledge. Thanks!
One of my friends had an interview similar to what you will have. Some technical questions can range from which is cheaper, debt or equity? Others might be if you were CEO for the day what would you change about a company? More specifically they might ask the cheapest way for you to raise $10 million. A very common and good question to understand is how are each of the financial statements related. Where do each correlate and how do they affect each other? Hope this helps.

SA First Round Interview in 3 days: Not Prepared (Originally Posted: 10/02/2015)
I was contacted for 2 first round BB S&T interviews yesterday that must be completed before next Tuesday, and I am under-prepared since I wasn't expecting to interview so quickly.
I know one interviewer will be in fixed income. I generally read the WSJ every day, and occasionally read some informational articles elsewhere on specific market trends. I also know a bit about interest rate derivatives. However, I haven't put together a trading strategy or even a stock pitch (is one even necessary if the interviewer is in fixed income?) I just have a quantitative background.
Any advice for material I can skim quickly/material I should know? I believe I should learn to pitch a stock without sounding clueless, and also find a free source for brainteasers. I was going to read the Vault Guide.
Also, any advice for my particular situation?
