Corporate Banking

i have an offer at citi’s corporate banking team. I spent 11 months recruiting and i’m kinda tired of continuing it. Firms like Piper sandler mufg are re-posting summer internship positions. Do you see the value of applying these firms  versus citi bank? I feel like i can transfer to CITI IB

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Citi's Corporate Banking team is a strong platform, and the possibility of transferring internally to Citi's Investment Banking (IB) division is feasible. Internal mobility is often encouraged at firms like Citi, and many professionals have successfully transitioned from Corporate Banking to IB. This could save you the effort of restarting the recruiting process with other firms.

On the other hand, applying to firms like Piper Sandler or MUFG could be worth considering if you believe their opportunities align better with your long-term goals or if you feel they offer a more direct path to IB. However, keep in mind that Citi's brand name and resources are highly regarded, and staying with Citi could provide a solid foundation for your career.

If you're tired of the recruiting process and see a clear path to IB within Citi, it might be more efficient to focus on excelling in your current offer and leveraging internal opportunities.
