Credit to Investment Banking
I am a credit analyst likely about to be promoted to a PM and I am near completion of a online MBA. If I apply to a IB this year or next year as a PM should I apply to be an Analyst or Associate?
-my MBA should be completed next year
-current comp is 85 should be a good bit more after promotion but I'm sure a investment bank will have no problem beating it substantially
Hi AnalyzeANDchill, hope I can help. Do any of these links cover what you're looking for:

Bump - I’m starting a Credit Analyst position in January in the south. Would love to hear more about IB exit ops / exit ops in general.
Hate to say it but you messed up by doing an online MBA, your best chance at getting in would of been going to a target business school
yea but that's not really advice on my situation ( advice would be considered forward looking or in the present at a min) . I am not going to pay that money to go there its super expensive
You probably couldn’t get into a good one let’s be honest
youd want to look for analyst/senior analyst in DCM and LevFin groups but I think but your mileage may vary. try both and see where bites come?
Thanks already reached out to one Leveraged Finance group with JP Morgan and got a chat with one of the bankers. It sounds like as I get promoted into this PM role I would be a very good fit if not now once that promotion takes affect. You are a big help, wish I had more people who know about finance in my current location.
