Critical Thinking Qs (e.g should charities pay tax?)

Hi,

I have a big interview coming up for an SA position in EMEA for (Laz/EVC/RTH) and will be asked critical thinking questions.

A buddy of mine who just had his interview was asked several questions such as:

Should charities be taxed?

Should CEOs be paid less if the company is performing badly?

In which situation would you be dishonest with a client?

How would you build trust with an MD?

Whilst I am familiar with your bog standard competency qs which use STAR, these questions seem more tricky and I really want to stand out.

Has anyone got any tips/experience on answering these sorts of questions? How does one stand out?

These are not only "critical thinking" questions but also ethics questions. I think you just need to craft an articulate response with a solid reasoning and make sure that your response is consistent with your personality/values.
