CS Equity Capital Market Americas heads for Wells Fargo
Just saw Bloomberg report Jill Ford has left CS for Wells Fargo and will be the head of ECM. This along with Malcolm Price now being the head of Sponsors.
What are thoughts? Also, wasn't able to find much info on her
Why are so many senior ECM folks from CS leaving the new firm? When the merger first got announced I remember someone had written that ECM was something UBS was actively trying to grow and that CS’ ECM groups were generally more productive than UBS.
I know it’s a down market and ECM is gonna take a while to recover but I imagined they would’ve just replaced the less productive folks with the new CS guys right?
Other banks are more stable and probably pay better.
Agree it's probably just pay. Growing platform with better upside in stock price vs that messy European situation.
Theres a big layoff in June for CS juniors - so unless ppl want to be laid off they need to get out now
You mean before or after deal closes with UBS?
