DECISION IN TERMS OF MAJOR
Here's the catch: I am transferring to either semi/non-target or a target in a year. I want to major in finance but the main target in NYC (Columbia U) does not have finance major. Instead they have financial economics, economics, etc. Will it have a huge impact into getting into I-banking if a non target was chosen and I ended up with a high GPA lets say higher than 3.5. I love economics but i do not want to major in it for undergrad. Essentially, finance is more banking related.
if you want to do i-banking, go to columbia, not the semi/non-target. Though your major isn't finance, recruiting at Columbia will be significantly better.
No one gives a shit about "Financial Economics" vs. "Finance". Jesus.
thanks.....yeah thats my motive.im definitely looking into that. lets say the backup is a semi/non-target. if i do that recruiting will be harder obviously. but is there a possibility if I get a high GPA to even be considered to be recruited from a non-target in NYC? will heavy networking have to be involved to get a FO position at an I-Bank? whats the average debt in Columbia in the course of only 2 years?
Do you even think about what your posting? Or is it just your unfiltered thoughts for the period of time it takes to type your post.
Yeah for real OP. Focus, use the internet, then the search function, and then ask your question. How are we supposed to know what the tuition is at Columbia?
yeah it was kinda stupid to ask about the Columbia tuition.
Go to Columbia
art major at columbia.. go.
wish I could give bananas to eriginal
