Deutsche Bank has a new cohead of Internet Investment Banking
Despite facing a multi billion lawsuit for the US Department of Justice, Deutsche Bank is still continuing to recruit talent as seen in the firm's move to hire Brian Pitz, former managing director of Jefferies Group.
Deutsche Bank has hired Brian Pitz, who previously worked as a managing director in equity research at Jefferies Group LLC, as co-head of the bank's internet investment banking group, according to an internal memo.
Pitz's 20 years of experience covering the internet space include work at Morgan Stanley and most recently at Jefferies, where he oversaw coverage of the internet and interactive entertainment industries.
Wonder how this move will pan out for the firm in the long term? I personally feel that with Pitz's experience in the internet space and the internet being a dynamic and large sector which will grow in the future, it seems to be a good hire and definitely is something positive for the firm amidst the DOJ's fine.
