Do banks always notify students of their decisions?

I had a couple of first-round interviews on campus last week with two BBs and two boutiques. One BB sent me a rejection email the following day, but I still haven't heard back from the others... When I was interviewing for SA positions, I heard back right away about Superdays. I also sent emails thanking them after the interviews but didn't get responses from them :(

Bank expect you to telepathically know if you're through the next round/have the job. Sounds like you failed.

A lot of them (too many in my opinion) don't. A lot of times, you can send an email to an interviewer/head of recruiting head maybe a week after the interview and ask for an update. As far as thank you emails, a good 90% of the thank you emails I sent never got a response back.

If they want you for the next round, they'll definitely contact you. If they don't, then they may or may not give you a response back. But if it's been more than a few weeks/longer than their stated time they would get back to you, you can assume you've been dinged.

If you are talking about first rounds OCR to final rounds I was told by a lot of places that it would take up to 2-3 weeks till they interviewed at a few other schools before letting me know one way or another. In fact, the only really quick responses I got were either rejections or places that had multiple rounds on campus.
