Do EB groups have layoffs?
Do EBs like Evercore, Perella, Moelis etc lay off analysts or associates? Or is it usually larger groups?

Haven’t heard of too many - heard EVR hired a lot recently
Not from my EB and FT conversion rates stayed high. EBs have benefit of Rx practice to maintain revenues in down markets
Not massive cuts due to their size. Heard Perella trimmed people in London a few months back.
EBs generally do a better job of managing out underperformers on a regular basis. Fewer places to hide vs. BB.
Teams are also just smaller - so ‘layoffs’ might just be 1-2 people per group and they’re typically told that they don’t have a future at the firm and will need to transition out in next 6 months or so.
Yes, but it’s quieter. They don’t announce massive layoffs like the BBs. Instead, 1 or 2 people at a time quietly stop coming into the office and you find out weeks later they were told to go. Also commonplace to push people out with worse than terrible bonuses - a layoff in effect.
