Does 3.29 = 3.3? Citi Sophomore GPA Cutoff

I know there have been discussions here about rounding GPA before, but My case is tricky since I’m not rounding to Impress, rather to qualify.

In my mind, I meet the cut. However, In spirit of ethics, does 3.29 = 3.3 for the application?

GPA cutoffs and rounding isn't black and white. 99% of the time, any difference in GPA .1 isn't going to matter, and honestly even larger discrepencies don't always matter.

When I got my SA I had to send in transcripts, and the GPA on my resume was .2 higher because I had won a grade appeal that wasn't reflected in my transcript yet. I was ready to send in the proof/statement from the registrar that my real GPA was the one on my resume, but it never came and nobody asked about it.

GPA cutoffs are different from rounding to look slightly better. If you have a 3.29 you don’t qualify for a 3.3, and it’s dishonest to say you have a 3.3.

If you want to try for it and not be dishonest, put 3.29 on your resume. If you want to be dishonest, round to a 3.3. It’s as simple as that. It would be different if you had a 3.59 rounded to 3.6 and the cutoff was 3.3 because you’d make the 3:3 cutoff easily.
