Any updated insight into deal volume/overall experience for juniors at this shop? Interested because they have accounts-based system like CVP. There is discrepancy in my mind between this firm closing few deals per year, yet being known for some of the longest hours on the street.
Likely tons of fluff work to maintain existing megacap relationships, think like being a lawyer on retainer vs actively on a case

It’s whale hunting model. Endless pitching + BD work on retainer for mega cap clients. Hours are absolutely brutal and they were upfront abt it in coffee chats.

So unique question maybe here…I may be interning at one of the funds in the GP stakes arm ((Dyal Capital (managed by blue owl))…would you see this as a decent in road to a role at Dyal?…at very least a good connect to have a leg up?
I've seen laterals to Dyal from very low tier banks, wouldn't say it's a struggle to get into there
