If you’re trying to broaden your options for UK summer internships or graduate roles, it’s true that most students rely on Dartmouth or Trackr — but there are several other recruitment firms that support early-career hiring. A lot of candidates don’t realize that many headhunters also work with analyst-level and internship pipelines, so reaching out directly can actually open more doors.

At Alliance Recruitment Agency, for example, we help students and new grads connect with opportunities across investment banking, corporate finance, research, and commercial roles. Even if you’re early in your career, sharing your CV, interests, and timelines with a recruiter can help you get matched to teams that align with your strengths. You don’t need prior headhunter experience — proactive outreach is completely normal at this stage.

The best approach is a mix of applying directly to grad schemes and connecting with a few reputable recruitment firms. It gives you more visibility and makes sure you’re not relying solely on Trackr like everyone else. If you stay consistent with applications and networking, you’ll build a much stronger funnel for summer and graduate opportunities.
