Econ Major from a UC

I am an economics major transferring to a either Berkeley or UCSD. I have recently been giving much thought about what I exactly want to do when I graduate but right now I'm at a cross I suppose. What are the realistic chances of breaking into the IB world coming from either Cal or UCSD?

Sorry if this is the completely wrong section for this question. If it is could some please be as kind as to point me in the correct direction?

This man speaks the truth. The big banks love Berkley grads. My good friend who had no desire to do Ibanking was actually approached by Goldman Sachs while at Berkley. He turned them down, which killed me inside...
