Hi all, wondering how strong/what exit opportunities are available for elite boutiques on the West Coast. I've looked into the New York groups and know that some of these firms have the best placement into MF/HF but couldn't' find too much info for west coast shops. Do BBs dominate the west coast for the most part? How would going to PWP/PJT/EVER SF be compared to a solid BB group?

Qatalyst is insane in the tech sector over there from what I hear.

As far as LA goes, Moelis takes the cake. Much stronger office in LA than SF, from what I've heard - with frequent placements to West Coast PE, esp. compared to other EB's in the region

It may also be worth considering HL RX in LA if at all interested in exit ops on the distressed side (Oaktree, Ares, etc.)
Curious as well - there's a lot of information on the BBs in the west coast, but the EBs are relatively new and if any poster has insight it'd be great to hear it!
AFAIK, EBs don't really have much strength out in SF because they can't finance much.
False. Qatalyst is one of the best places to be for tech M&A, and Evercore is strong.
