Estimated Earnings
Hi, I'm doing my first Comparable Companies Analysis and I have two questions that I can't find the answers to:
- Is it required or recommended to include estimated earnings, i.e 2018E Sales when creating a trading comp. essentially, i will use a valuation multiple such as EV/ 2018E Sales, EV / 2018E EBIT, etc. , but i don't know if it required or even recommended to do so.
- How do you find the value of 2018E Sales, 2018E EBIT, etc. I've exhausted all of my resources trying to find the values, but I can't. Am i supposed to assume these values myself or is there some sort of formula that I should use?
Thank you all in advance, I really appreciate the help and support!
I actually found out where to find some of this information. If you type in the company name on yahoo finance and click on "Analysts" (should be the last category), scroll down and it shows Revenue Estimates for current year and next year.
Still haven't found EBITDA or EBIT estimates, if anyone knows where I could locate this information, it would be a great help.
Thank you
