Green card holders can pull it off, I know individuals in Texas IB who are permanent residents and LSE/Oxford/Cambridge grads. Seen Bocconi in NYC too.

Well green card means you won’t require a work permit. You’re effectively a citizen for hiring unless you need a clearance for the role.

Depends if you count Canada or not. Canadians get TN-Visa and culturally very similar. Every year will see 10-20 Canadians head down the border for SA

If you have a greencard and your oversea university is a reputable one, then yes, possible.
Don’t think it’s widely known in the states although there are some alums at BB/EBs with M7 mbas.
