Experienced analyst hiring timeline

I am a recent graduate (May '10) working in as a Credit Analyst for a major bulge bracket bank. However, I am looking to switch into an analyst role on the ibanking side. Do most banks recruit my type of candidate in the same time frame as undergraduates? Also, do most banks typically like to have all of their analysts start at the same time each year?

It would be near impossible to get in this recruiting season, as most banks hired out of their summer associate class, or have already filled the slots with on-campus recruiting. I'd say the only way you are going to get in, it to reach out to someone through your network, and hopefully find a bank that is looking to hire for an immediate slot to be filled.

I'd try to slip in with the regular recruiting season. Firms tend to hire laterals at all times during the year. But with the slowdown, not sure how much of that will be going on these days. Just be persistent as hell.
