Financial reporting and analysis for valuation
Coming from engineering, I have a very limited knowledge of accounting. In principle, I could answer the basic questions about the three financial statements and how to link them, but more detailed questions like "what happens to the three statements if we increase X by Y" might put me in a quandary.
What are some resources to grasp the fundamentals of FRA without reading those huge 1500-page accounting books? Is it really necessary to learn that much accounting?
The BIWS guides cover the basics of accounting, but I'm not sure if it's enough. I have been told that some interviewers might occasionally test your accounting knowledge.
