Firm Loyalty Brainwash

Title.

Interned at the bank I am currently an A1 at. I felt loyal to my bank because they took a chance on me despite that I was from a non-target and had some blemishes in my technical skills. But now, I am absolutely jaded. Every fucking calendar invite that celebrates a senior banker's 2X years at the firm makes me disgusted to my gut knowing that these higher ups swing into the office for 6 hours a day 2x a week and most of their day-to-day is just random client pleasing shit such as golfing, attending a conference, or hopping on calls about a pitch deck from a noisy airport where no one can hear them (and they haven't actually opened the deck and "do the presentation on the fly" (while I have to be up until 3 am stressing about footnotes having commas.)

I knew this job wasn't glamorous at a junior level, but there's such a huge disconnect between what junior bankers experience and the firm loyalty bullshit being shoved down my throat by HR and such events. I feel like I have to put on a happy smile and just blend into the propaganda rather than be critical of it. I know I am not the only one who feels this way, but I don't know how to mute this side of me and essentially ignore the bloatware that comes with the job, so that I can do the job without feeling sick to my stomache every day.

Yes I know I am being paid a shit-ton but I seriously feel like I am being minimized to a "hey you made this mistake, fix it" monkey rather than being recognized for my individuality.

Any tips? I know this is just how it is in a corporate environment, but man...
